ROAST DUCK/ITIK PANGGANG

Assalammualaikum semua

Kat rumah akak semua suka masakan itik, tak kiralah masak rendang ataupun kari.  Kali ni akak bakar dalam ovenlah pulak.

Puas cari, akhirnya jumpa resepi kat SINI, bahan pun ada kat rumah.  Malas nak translate, nanti cubalah yer.

Oh iyer akak tak buat sos, guna sos thai ajer.


  1. INGREDIENTS

    • 1 5-pound duck, fresh or frozen - belah dua jer pas masak baru potong lagi
  2. For duck
    • 1/3 cup soy sauce
    • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
    • 3 large garlic cloves, pressed
    • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
    • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
    • 1 teaspoon dried thyme


PREPARATION

  1. Make sauce:
    1. Cut off duck wing tips at joint. 

  2. Make duck:
    1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Trim excess fat from cavity of duck. 
    2. Using fork, pierce duck skin in several places. Place duck, breast side up, on rack in large roasting pan. Brush soy sauce over duck. Mix mustard and pressed garlic in small bowl. 
    3. Brush mustard mixture over duck. Mix salt, pepper and thyme in another small bowl. Sprinkle spice-herb mixture over duck and in cavity. 
    4. Roast duck 45 minutes. Turn duck and roast, breast side down, 30 minutes. Turn duck and roast, breast side up, until duck is deep golden brown and cooked through, about 15 minutes longer. 
    5. Transfer duck to platter. Serve with sauce.

  3. sedapnya Kak Ina masak itik. saya kalau nak cari itik kena balik kampung dulu baru dapat nak masak itik. Pastu singgah Kuala Pilah beli itik salai. Masak lomak cili api sodap!
    Macam best pulak kalau cuba masak itik style omputih macam akak ni. Nak cubalah. Terima Kasih .
